Arkanoid was produced by Taito in 1986. Other machines made by Taito during the time period Arkanoid was produced include Alcon, Battle Lane Vol. 5, Big Event Golf, Bobble Bobble, Bubble Bobble, Typhoon Gal, Super Dead Heat, Onna Sanshirou, Metal Soldier Isaac 2, and Wyvern F-0. This is a variation on an early ball and paddle video game where the paddle moves left and right at the bottom of the screen and a ball is deflected to hit bricks. Some bricks contain special powers to enhance play. The next level achieved by removing all the bricks.
