Phoenix was produced by Centuri in 1980. Other machines made by Centuri during the time period Phoenix was produced include Eagle, Killer Comet, Challenger, Pit, The, Vanguard, and Battle Station. A spaceship which moves left and right horizontally at the bottom of the screen must destroy bird-shaped spaceships, birds, and finally a mothership at the end of each level. The player's ship is equipped with a shield that requires seven seconds to regenerate before it can be used again.
